Flower preservation is an involved and creative process. Using a professional artist is the best way to preserve wedding flowers. I began drying and framing flowers in 2018 and expanded to resin in 2021. In 2023, I created the floating shadow box for Golden Preserved.

I'd love to be the right artist for you, to give your flowers a second life.

save the bouquet

After local drop-off or shipment, your fresh flowers are disassembled and dried using silica. This sucks out all of the moisture while keeping the shape of your flowers full.

framed flowers

Preserved flowers are designed and secured in a custom-made floating shadow box. I created this frame with a local frame shop, which includes high-quality wood and UV-protecting conservation glass.

resin art

Golden Preserved offers resin home decor including functional items like coasters and trays as well as decorative pieces such as ornaments and resin blocks.

  • Golden Preserved was just Tia Lorraine for years before your flowers came along. Flower preservation is an involved and patient art—I’ve preserved over 200 bouquets since Golden Preserved began. I want to take care of your delicate flowers so I use Superclear Epoxy for all my resin home decor. Your flowers are secured in a high-quality frame I built with the help from Frugal Framer. With my years if experience, I’ve created a unique way to display your bouquet.

  • Golden Preserved offers custom floating shadow boxes and an expanding collection of resin home decor. Either flower preservation option offers you a modern design in a style suitable for your needs.

I preserve your fresh flowers, work with already-dried flowers, or have your bouquet re-created for either framed or resin options.

  • Golden Preserved does not offer color correction. I do my best to take care of your flowers once they are in my hands. I always handle your blooms with gloves so as not to add to the bruises and oils that the petals have collected. I use a high-quality silica that helps retain the shape and color of your flowers, however, some flowers naturally just dry darker and all flowers will fade over time. I find this change beautiful and I hope you do, too.

  • Typically, no. Pressed floral art, just like color-correction, is another art form. I dry my flowers full and may only press, remove petals, or cut flowers depending on my discretion. Please look closely at my frames to ensure you understand that Golden Preserved provides three-dimensional flower preservation in original handcrafted frames.

  • That's not me. Because it's only me. And flower preservation takes time. It takes time to dry the flowers correctly. Resin takes SO MUCH TIME. My minimum turnaround time with resin pieces is six months. Frames have a quicker turnaround time and are my favorite :)

  • Yay! Please head to the book page.

If your event has just passed, still reach out because there may be a slot available! If I am not available, I give you further care instructions.

I accept local dropoffs near Asheville, North Carolina within three days of your event and shipped bouquets from the U.S.

After your deposit is submitted, you will receive my contract that has care instructions, shipping and drop-off info, timeline expectations, and a spot for your wishlist!

I have a $100 deposit for all fresh bouquets and a $200 minimum for all orders.

  • Once Golden Preserved has your flowers, they go through the drying process with silica. Depending on the season, this can take 6-8 weeks. Peak wedding season is the spring and fall in Western North Carolina.

When your flowers are dry, you will receive a confirmation of your order from your wishlist and mockups of your design. Upon approval, invoice is sent and the artwork begins! This can take up to 6-8 months depending on the season and size of your order.

  • Your flowers will never look exactly as they did when they were fresh. Some flowers dry darker, some lighter, some show off all the bruises, and most white flowers brown over time. It’s important to understand that this is an ever-changing art.

For frames: some silica may make its way out of the flowers and get trapped within the glass. I do my best to get rid of every little speck while still protecting the integrity of your dried flowers. The flowers are also sprayed with a UV protectant so may look a little shiny when you first get your piece and are encased behind UV glass, but they will fade over time.

For resin: all resin goldens over time. Almost every flower will change once the resin hits it—this may mean that bruises on the petals will show through, some flowers may appear translucent, and greenery and flowers can darken. Resin is a two-part chemical process that is very finicky with temperature and humidity; it can have microbubbles, show swirls and larger pieces may have layer lines. And yes, your every-day use resin items such as coasters will wear over time.

When booking, I am making the assumption that you have read through this and know what to expect. But I also don’t want to scare you! There is beauty in aging art that holds so many memories.

  • Don't have one! I work out of my home studio in Western North Carolina.

Everything I make is custom and made to order. I have full-price transparency on my options page. There is a $100 deposit and $200 minimum on all orders.
